Duke Energy STEM Internship Program
at Comlux Completions
Thanks to the Duke Energy STEM Internship Program, I have been given the opportunity to serve as an intern for Comlux Completions. At Comlux, everyone works together to complete, refurbish, and maintain private aircraft. They have two hangars at the Indianapolis International Airport where teams work together in order to finish an airplane almost completely in house. These groups make sure the aircraft is safe, functional, and home-like for their customers.
I am an intern in the structures engineering group at Comlux. Here I am pictured with my group at the Comlux Christmas Party. They are awesome! Some of the projects I have worked on so far include the design of a new part, finishing placard drawings, and going through a SolidWorks training course. For my technical communications class, I interviewed the Head of Engineering to discuss a problem I could research and propose a possible solution for.
